A one-of-a-kind fire-fighting UTV
The SHERP Firefighting UTV is not only highly maneuverable off-road vehicle, but is also equipped with everything needed to fight fires.
The Firefighting UTV can be used to fight wildfires because its high passability allows to move across dense forests. It can transport firefighters, equipment, fuel and water in the most extreme conditions and is ready to operate in all weather.
Firefighting in the most extreme conditions, transporting rescue workers, cargo, equipment, fuel to the harsh locations, that are inaccessible by any other ground transport.
By reducing the time for emergency rescuers and transport equipment delivery to disaster area, the spread of fires can be significantly reduced.
The SHERP Firefighting moves faster than any other ground vehicle across off-road terrains and even in dense forests.
With 6 additional fuel tanks placed in each wheel disk, its total fuel capacity increases to 117 gallons, allowing the UTV to operate autonomously for up to 88 hours and run non-stop for 19 hours.
The vehicle is equipped with a tire cooling system that allows to move through smoldering areas and extinguish the embers to eliminate the possibility of fire renewal.
In addition to firefighting, the SHERP Firefighting UTV can also be used for search and rescue operations, as the flexible water tank can be easily transformed into a transport compartment for people and equipment.
The patented design of the wheels has a number of advantages:
the tires are less liable to damage due to their elasticity;
the tires can be inflated and deflated by pressing a button (due to this feature, the off-road vehicle can overcome difficult obstacles);
the design and tread of the wheels provide a high level of adhesion to the ground and allow propulsion on the water.
The UTV is equipped with side boxes that can store all the tools and firefighting equipment needed for rescue workers.
Doosan’s (Korea) high-tech and eco-friendly engine complies with Stage V/Tier-4-final emission standards and provides high torque and fuel efficiency with low noise and vibration levels.
Due to the low center of gravity and ROPS, the rollover risk is minimized.
The SHERP is equipped with seat belts, a sturdy body and multifunctional hatches.
The large windshield and side windows provide the driver with excellent visibility, and a rearview camera installed allows the driver to fully control the situation while driving.
