Humanitarian aid

World humanitarian organizations use SHERP UTV in their missions. The UTV helps deliver humanitarian aid to the most remote regions regardless of seasonal and weather conditions.

The World Food Programme (WFP of United Nations)

The World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian organization. It was established in 1961 as a food assistance organization under the UN system. Its main goal is to fight hunger and poverty.
The WFP was awarded with the 2019 Best Transport Achievement Award for the SHERP project: Expanding WFP’s last-mile Capacity with amphibious off-highway vehicles.
WFP reduced transportation costs by 75 percent by replacing airfreight with the use of SHERP utility terrain vehicles during humanitarian missions to deliver food to hard-to-reach locations in Mozambique and other parts of Africa.
